Health Education Committee

The Health Education Committee serves as:

  • A forum for the exchange of information.
  • An opportunity to educate the public health workforce and other health professionals by increasing the competency, skills and performance as they relate to the core public health essential services.  
  • A networking opportunity for public health professionals that are employed in a variety of settings including: local/state health departments, non-profit and  not-for-profit organizations, community based organizations, clinical practice, academia and other healthcare settings. 

The Health Education Committee meets:

The second Wednesday of January, April, June, September and November from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm. Meetings are primarily held in the Meriden/Wallingford area.

What happens at the meetings?  

The basic meeting agenda: 

9:30 am – 9:45 am  Breakfast and Networking
9:45 am – 10:30 am  Presentation A
10:30 am - 10:45 am Networking
10:45 am – 11:30 am  Presentation B
11:30 am - 11:45 am Networking
11:45 am – 12:15 pm  Wrap-up and New Business
